WHO Collaborating Centre for Drug Statistics Methodology (WHO Oslo)
The Centre's main tasks are development and maintenance of the ATC/DDD system and to classify drugs according to the ATC system, to establish DDDs for drugs which have been assigned an ATC code, to review and revise as necessary the ATC classification system and DDDs and to stimulate and influence the practical use of the ATC system by co-operating with researchers in the drug utilization field.
World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA)
Wonca Europe has more than 30 member organisations and represents more than 45.000 family physicians in Europe. The society is the academic and scientific society for general practitioners in Europe. Its objective is to improve the quality of life of the peoples of the world through fostering and maintaining high standards of care in general practice/family medicine by providing a forum for exchange of knowledge and information; encouraging and supporting the development of academic organizations of general practitioners/family physicians; and representing the educational, research and service provision activities of general practitioners/family physicians before other world organizations and forums concerned with health and medical care. The society aims to stimulate networking among GPs with an interest in professional development, research, education and quality improvement. To this end the society arranges an annual European conference and other meetings.
The Danish Integrated Antimicrobial resistance Monitoring and Research Programme (DANMAP)
DANMAP is the Danish Programme for surveillance of antimicrobial resistance in bacteria from livestock, foods, and humans.
The objectives of the programme are to monitor the occurrence of antimicrobial resistance, to monitor consumption of antimicrobial agents and to investigate associations between use of antimicrobial agents in animals and humans and occurrence of resistance among bacteria from animals, foods, and humans
European Surveillance of Antimicrobial Consumption (ESAC):
The European Surveillance of Antimicrobial Consumption (ESAC) project, granted by the European Commission, is an international network of national surveillance systems aiming to collect reliable and comparable antibiotic consumption data for public health purposes in all European countries
